The Chipkind MCP2515-I is a stand-alone Controller Area Network (CAN) controller developed by Microchip Technology. It implements the CAN 2.0B protocol and provides an SPI interface for communication with microcontrollers that do not have an integrated CAN peripheral. The device integrates a CAN protocol engine, message filters, acceptance masks, transmit/receive buffers, and interrupt management, enabling reliable CAN communication in automotive, industrial, and embedded networking applications.
